Bacterial vaginosis affects mostly women of reproductive age group.\u00a0According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it affects 29.2% of women.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div><div class=\"bt_bb_tab_item\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"bt_bb_tab_content\"><div  class=\"bt_bb_text\" ><\/p>\n<p>In the diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis, the examination of the vaginal flora is of clinical importance as it determines the ratio between normal vaginal flora and pathogenic microorganisms.<\/p>\n<p>This ratio is detected with high accuracy by the Bacterial Vaginosis Real-TM Quant reactive kit, which quantifies Gardnerella vaginalis, Atopobium vaginae and Lactobacillus spp in the vaginal biotope and simultaneously shows the total bacterial count.<\/p>\n<p>Bacterial Vaginosis Real-TM Quant kit allows to determine the total bacteria quantity in the vaginal biotope, to value the ratio among lactobacilli and other facultative and anaerobic species (Gardnerella vaginalis, Atopobium vaginae), which is important in determining treatment tactics.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div><div class=\"bt_bb_tab_item\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"bt_bb_tab_content\"><div  class=\"bt_bb_text\" ><\/p>\n<p>Intravaginal interventions increase the risk of bacterial vaginosis, therefore for the prevention of bacterial vaginosis it is important to use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>unflavored, unscented tampons, diapers and mild soaps;<\/li>\n<li>protective latex condom to reduce the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following factors also increase the risk of bacterial vaginosis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>having multiple or new sex partners;<\/li>\n<li>using intrauterine devices;<\/li>\n<li>douching &#8211;
